What this is
A cookie is a small text file that a site stores in the browser. Besides cookies, sites also store data in the browser’s local storage (localStorage) and in storage for the current browsing session (sessionStorage). On this page all of these are called “data on your device”.
What the site stores
| Name | Type | Why | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|---|
| ey_age | The site’s own cookie | Remembers that you confirmed you are 18 or over, so we do not show the age question again on every visit. | One year |
| ey_a11y | Local storage | Keeps the accessibility preferences you chose in the accessibility menu. | Until you delete it |
| ey_intro | Session storage | Marks that the site’s opening has already been shown in this session. | Until the tab is closed |
| ey-return-to-collection | Session storage | Marks that you came back from the wine catalog, so the home page opens at the wine collection. | Until the tab is closed |
| ey_lang | Local storage | Remembers the language you chose with the language picker. Nothing is redirected by it. | Until you delete it |
All of this data belongs to the site itself (first-party), contains no identifying information and is not sent to anyone else.
What there is not
- No advertising cookies and no third-party cookies.
- No analytics tools and no tracking of visitor behaviour.
- No social media pixels.
Because the stored data is needed to run the site and to keep choices you made yourself (age and accessibility preferences), we do not ask for separate consent to store it. If a service that needs additional cookies is added to the site, we will ask for consent before turning it on and will update this page.
How to delete it
You can delete cookies and site data at any time from your browser settings (usually under “Privacy and security” or “History”). You can also reset only the accessibility preferences with the “Reset settings” button in the accessibility menu.
After deletion we will ask your age again on your next visit, and your preferences will return to the defaults. The site will keep working as usual.
