Privacy Policy
We collect very little. The site has no forms, no user accounts, no tracking and no advertising. This document sets out exactly what does happen.

General
This policy applies to the website of Eretz Yehuda Boutique Wines (“Eretz Yehuda”, “we”). It is written in line with Israel’s Protection of Privacy Law, 5741-1981, as amended, including Amendment 13, which took effect in 2025.
Using the site means you accept this policy. The site is intended for adults aged 18 and over only.
What information the site collects
The site has no registration forms, no contact forms, no user accounts and no database of visitors. We do not ask for, and do not collect through the site, your name, address, phone number, email or payment details.
As with any website, our hosting provider may log standard technical data when the server is accessed, such as the IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time of access. This data is used only for security and for the proper operation of the site, and we do not use it to identify visitors.
What is stored on your device
The site stores very little on your device, all of it to make the site work. None of it identifies you, and none of it is sent to us or to any third party. The full detail is on the Cookies page.
- One cookie, ey_age, which remembers that you confirmed you are 18 or over, so we do not ask again on every visit. It lasts one year.
- The accessibility preferences you chose in the accessibility menu, so they apply again on your next visit. They are stored on your device only.
- Two temporary items for the current browsing session: a note that the site’s opening has already been shown, and a note that lets you return to the collection from the catalog page. They are deleted when you close the tab.
Contacting us on WhatsApp
The way to contact us, ask about a wine or order, is a WhatsApp message to the business number. Pressing a button on the site opens WhatsApp with a message written in advance, which you can edit before sending.
The message is sent only if you press send. From the moment it is sent it passes through the WhatsApp service (Meta), whose terms of use and privacy policy apply and are not our responsibility.
In the personal label preview on the site you can type names and a date and see them on the bottle. What you type stays in your browser and is not sent anywhere, unless you choose to send it to us in a WhatsApp message.
Details you give us on WhatsApp, such as a name, phone number, delivery address or event details, are kept by us and used only to answer your enquiry, handle the order and deliver it.
What the site does not have
- No analytics or visitor statistics tools.
- No advertising cookies, social media pixels or cross-site tracking.
- No social media plug-ins and no videos embedded from outside services.
- No sale, rental or transfer of information to third parties for marketing.
The site’s fonts and images are loaded from the site’s own server.
How we use details you give us
Details given to us in a direct enquiry will be used only to answer the enquiry, tailor the offer and carry out the order. We will not use them for third-party marketing. If we want to send you marketing messages we will do so only with your consent, and you will be able to opt out at any time.
Information security
The site is served over an encrypted connection. We take reasonable measures to protect the information we are given. However, no protection can be guaranteed absolutely when information is sent over a network.
Your rights
Under the Protection of Privacy Law you are entitled to see the information held about you, to ask us to correct information that is wrong and to ask us to delete information. To exercise a right, contact us on WhatsApp and we will reply within a reasonable time and in accordance with the law.
You can delete the cookie and the stored data from the site at any time through your browser settings. We will then ask your age again on your next visit.
Retention
Information given in an enquiry is kept for as long as it is needed to answer the enquiry and handle the order, and in line with retention duties under law, and is then deleted.
Minors
The site and our products are intended for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from minors, and we do not sell alcohol to minors. See also the Responsible Drinking page.
Changes to this policy
We will update this policy from time to time, for example if a new service is added to the site. The binding version is the one published here, and the date of the last update appears at the top of the page.
